Meet Our Teachers

Jennifer Brown
Hello! My name is Jennifer Brown, and I am thrilled to be part of this new enrichment program. I live in Lincoln and grew up here locally, so I feel fortunate to be working in this wonderful community. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a minor in Human Development from California State University, Monterey Bay. After graduating and receiving my teaching credential, I had the pleasure of working at John Adams Academy Roseville where I fell in love with teaching fifth grade. I made the decision to change my profession to full-time mom with the birth of our son in July 2018. Our family has now grown to four with the birth of our daughter two years later. I have my hands full with two littles, but they are the loves of my life and I try to soak up every minute of it. As a family we enjoy bike riding, camping, and anything outdoors. I personally love singing, crafting, horseback riding, and spending time with friends and family. Last but not least, I truly love teaching and learning! While being mom has been my primary job these past few years, I continued teaching in the form of one-on-one tutoring. This was such a unique and rewarding experience; however, I have been itching to get back into a classroom. It brings me such joy to help children grow academically and socially by creating a safe and nurturing environment where they are free to be themselves. I look forward to working with you as partners in your child’s growth and development.
Jessica Sands

Hello Families! My name is Ms. Jessica and I am so thrilled to be teaching our 1st and 2nd graders this year. I have been an educator for over 15 years and received my teaching degree through Sacramento State University. I have experience within the traditional classroom setting as well as serving students and families for local homeschool charters. I have also had the opportunity to homeschool my own children for the past 4 years. I am a wife and mom to four boys ages 20, 13, 3 and 5 months. I love to travel, staycations, decorating, arts and crafts, working out, and of course teaching! My goal for this year is to create an environment where students can engage in hands-on learning, make social connections, and continue to discover their world and passions. I look forward to working with you all in the fall!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Kristyn. I am a mother of three and have been homeschooling for a little over 2 years now. I received my degree in Liberal Studies in 2014 and have taught in various preschool classrooms and assisted at various elementary schools off and on for the past 8 years. My approach to education is very unique and quirky in that I take an out-of-the-box approach to education. I’ve been known to show up to school with a Hissing Cockroach one day (yes, that really happened) and a gallon of goats milk the next, all in the hope of providing our kids with exposure and experience. I highly value good literature, hands on experiences, and most of all an atmosphere of camaraderie. I like to think of myself as the modern day Miss Frizzle, and truly value and cherish the uniqueness and individuality of each child.
